Allu Arjun new telugu film Julayi Movie Review:

Director Trivikram Srinivas latest Telugu movie Julayi starring Allu Arjun and Ileana D'Cruz in leads, is not a mass entertainer when compare to other film of trivikram, which has all the masala elements like good music, dance, comedy, action and beautiful locations and costumes. Although it has a weak story and few other drawbacks, it is perfect treat for a family audience this weekend.

Allu Arjun's performance is the major highlight of the film. Arjun-Ileana's on-screen chemistry, Devi Sri Prasad's music, Brahmanandham and Hema's comedy timing, Trvikram Srinivas' excellent direction and dialogues, Peter Hein's stunts, beautiful locations and costumes are other attractions of the movie. The big drawback of the film is its storyline.

Story:

Ravi (Allu Arjun) is a youngster from a middle class family in Vizag and desires riches. He participates in cricket betting one unfortunate day to earn quick money. On the same day, a gang led by Gattu (Sonu Sood) robs a bank and siphons off Rs 1500 Crores from the bank. Ravi with the help of police stops the gang taking away the container from the Vizag. The gang hides the container in a dump yard and Gattu's brother (Shafi) gets killed in the shootout. Fearing that Gattu would avenge Ravi, a senior police officer asks him to hide at his friend's (Rajendra Prasad) place in Hyderabad. In Hyderabad, he falls for the charms of Madhu (Ileana). Rest of the drama is clash between Gattu and Ravi and finding the container.

Artist Performance:

Allu Arjun has delivered a wonderful performance in the film Julayi. He looks very energetic in dance and action sequences. His comedy timing throughout the movie keeps the viewers glued to the screen. Though, his love interest, Ileana D'Cruz has less space to show skills, she rocks the audience in songs. A special mention should be made about Brahmanandham and Hema's rib tickling comedy. Others like Sonu Sood as Bittu, Rajendra Prasad, Thanikella Bharani, Kota Sreenivasarao have also delivered excellent acting for their respective role.

Technical and Other Departments:

Devi Sri Prasad's music is the major attraction in the technical front. He has given foot tapping beats and his compositions like 'O Madhu', 'Pakado Pakado' and 'Julayi' are sure to rock the audience. The cinematography of Chota K Naidu and Shyam K Naidu in song sequence is simply superb. Prawin Pudi's editing is also commendable. Trivikram's dialogues are excellent. But the direction and the screenplay, the script was very poor. I think trivikram was better to settle as dialouge writer not as director.

Movie Analysis:

Julayi is all about making easy money. The movie revolves around the story of an aimless guy, who sets on to make easy money, but realises the difficulties as he starts his journey towards the goal. No doubt, the first half of the film is superb with its series of comedy episodes, music and dance. The film turns very sentimental with its multiple twists in the second half. But its narration takes a slow pace as it moves towards climax. But the story line was very poor.

Final View:

Watch Julayi only for Allu Arjun's energetic performance, Devi Sri Prasad's music, Trivikram's witty dialogues, Sonu Sood's great action, Rajendra Prasad's performance and Ileana's glamour. It is a perfect mixture of performances. The film has everything for the audience of all class and age group. Dont ask me about story line, its a telugu film!!!
