Ram charan and Kajal Agarwal New Telugu film Naayak Mvie Review:
Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja, who has become a superstar in Telugu films after Magadheera, has joined hands with popular director VV Vinayak for his latest outing Naayak, which has hit the screens today. The movie does not have an awesome script, but it boasts of wonderful performances by leads actors and rich production elements. Cherry is sure to rock you again after Racha.
Charan (RamCharan) is an youngster in Hyderabad who works in a software company of his bachelor uncle (Brahmanandam). Siddharth Naayak (Ram Charan) is an inspiring young leader in Kolkata who fights against an evil man (Pradeep Rawat). The paths of Charan and Naayak cross in an interesting scenario. Rest of the story is all about how Charan helps Naayak in eradicating the bad men in Kolkata.
Ram Charan Teja has delivered wonderful performance in the movie Naayak. His voice modulation is superb and he has shown lot of ease in dance and action sequences. He is the showman in the movie. Kajal Aggarwal does not have much scope in the story, but she has large screen space when compared to Amala Paul. She looks very glamourous in song sequences and her chemistry with Ram Charan is one of the highlights of the film. Amala Paul has a limited presence and she appears in a few scenes and a couple of songs in the second half. But she makes sure to impress you with her glamour. Brahmanandam, Posani Krishna Murali, MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Rahul Dev have delivered very good performances and they are sure to tickle your funny bones.
Technical and Other Departments:
SS Thaman’s music and background score are main attractions in the technical front. His compositions like ‘Nellorae’, ‘Hey Naayak’, ‘Katti lanti Pilla’ and ‘Subhaleka’ are good to listen. Chota K Naidu has done brilliant picturisation in songs like ‘Katti lanti Pilla’, ‘Subhaleka’ and ‘Oka Choopuke Padipoya’. The choreography of dance and action sequences is another highlight in the film. Akula Shiva’s dialogues are good, especially for the comedians. Gautham Raju’s editing is also commendable.
Naayak is a film that is tailor-made for Ram Charan by incorporating commercial payoffs and entertainment. This film is made with the sole aim of making a hit. Hence you see lot of compromises on logics, aesthetics and finesse. The plus points are Ram Charan and entertainment (Jaya Prakash Reddy, Posani and Brahmanandam). On the flipside, the film lacks freshness and violence is a bit high. But who cares as long as it entertains? On a whole, Naayak is a film that is packed with all ingredients to become a hit and it flags off new year with success!
Overall, VV Vinayak may not have given a great screenplay, but he has had a high entertainment quotient with his narration. His mass appearance has doubled up Ram Charan’s performance. Naayak is a perfect Sankranthi Commercial entertainer.
