Kumar Sanu was born on September 23, 1957, and was named Kedarnath Bhattacharjee. His father, Pashupati Bhattacharjee, was a well-known classical singer and songwriter who recognized his son’s talent at an early age. When he was very young, his father trained him to sing classical music and play tabla. Here is a short biography that tells the story of Kumar Sanu’s life.
Kumar Sanu graduated in Commerce from the University of Calcutta and then began public presentations in small salons and restaurants in Calcutta.
His singing style was strongly influenced by the legendary Kishore Kumar. I really wanted to become a background singer, but the competition in Indian film is more than violent; It is reckless It took many years and a lot of fighting before Kumar Sanu was noticed by the great Jagjit Singh. He offered Kumar Sanu the opportunity to sing Aandhiyan in the Hindi film.
Kumar Sanu came to Bombay when Kalyanji – Anandji offered to sing for the movie “Jadugar”. Then he was asked to choose a different name, which was much more acceptable due to box/region preferences. As a result, he began working under the name of Kumar Sanu instead of Kedarnath Bhattacharjee. This gave him a bigger appeal to the masses, and he did not stop at the Bengal fair. His real success, however, was in 1990 with the movie “Aashiqui”.
The talented music directors Nadeem – Shravan gave him all except one song from the movie Aashiqui. Kumar Sanu proved himself with this opportunity and the songs took the whole nation out of anger. Everyone sang the songs that were presented as the biggest hits of the year. Kumar Sanu became a star and also won his first Filmfare Award for Best Male Singer.
He started recording for many more films and became very successful with increasing success. Some films that deserve mention are Saajan, Deewana, Baazigar and 1942: A Love Story.
He won five Filmfare Awards for five consecutive years and sang hundreds of films in various languages in the late 1990s. In the best moments of his career, however, he was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. I was on medication and then sang the selected songs.
He has reduced the singing and diversified, gives public presentations and also acts in series in Bengali and Hindi.
