Gayatri Movie Review:
The experienced actor Mohan Babu has played leading roles again after a long time. His costume and inimitable dialogue style in the trailer of “Gayatri” attracted enormous interest. The followers promised something different.
Discover its advantages and disadvantages.
Sivaji (Mohan Babu) is a theatrical artist who earns his living by entering the characters of convicted criminals. He makes money by spending several days in prison for rich criminals in their dungeons.
On the other hand, he has been looking for his missing daughter Gayatri (Nikhila Vimal) for the last two decades. When he wants to find out where he is, he is abducted by Gayatri Patel (Mohan Babu in another role) who looks exactly like Sivaji.
Why did Gayatri abduct Patel Sivaji’s daughter? What are your wishes?
The performances of the Artists:
Mohan Babu played a double role: one as a good Samaritan and the other as a criminal. The veteran actor is excellent in both roles. The highlight of the film is the performance of Mohan Babu. The variation of expressions and the style, which differs from the transfer of dialogue to different roles, shows his mastery of the performance.
Vishnu easily played the role of the latest version of Mohan Babu’s Sivaji character. He also provided some dialogues and verses from old films.
Shriya appears in a short article that reminds us of her role as “Manam”. Nikhil Vimal, daughter of Mohan Babu, is fine. In other roles, Siva Prasad and Anasuya are perceptible.
The film is recorded with good production values. The film also has two melodious songs by Thaman. The battles are good.
Although the movie has the little runtime, the speed is slow and editing does not help much. The dialogues are intertwined with a political satire.
The story of “Gayatri” has enough room for an experienced actor like Mohan Babu to show his versatility. It seems that the script is ready to show the actor’s acting skills again. His tension is the mainstay of the film.
The story is also mixed with familiar emotions, sentimental scenes of parents and girls to attract Mohan Babu’s followers.
Although the main point is meat, the execution has failed from the beginning. Director Madan took too much time to get to the point and relied on other unimportant scenes, such as Anasuya, who sought to discover the true Sivaji (Mohan Babu). At the end of the first half, we learn that Sivaji knows who his daughter is.
The first half is consumed by the scenes of establishing multiple characters and Mohan Babu gets to know the identity of his daughter.
The second half begins immediately with the flashback episode, in which the romance of Vishnu and Shirya is established. But unfortunately, his romantic thread is old-fashioned. The movie really gets to the point in the last 45 minutes of the movie. The rotation here is also very interesting.
The appearance of Mohan Babu against Mohan Babu (Sivaji vs. Gayatri Patel) is another highlight.
From comedy to storytelling, the film is packed in an old style. If the director had done it with style and modern style, the movie would have become a decent actor. The weak narrative is the main drawback. And not all procedures are so exciting.
The film, however, works in certain sequences such as Mohan Babu, who slides into the roles of other people, Nikhil Vimal tells of his father and Mohan Babu articulates dialogues mixed with politics.
Mohan Babu offers powerful dialogues on the current political scenario that are effective. He mocked the Palestinian Authority’s “Pooling of Land” and the commentary of “TDP MP” “B.Com Lo Physics” and also criticized Nandyala’s campaign. AP CM Naidu.
In general, “Gayatri” is strictly an old-fashioned sentimental film that has a few moments and can attract Mohan Babu fans, but it does not do much for the general public.
