Idi Naa Love Story Movie Review:
Abhi (Tarun) is a filmmaker who falls in love with Abhinaya (Oviya). At one point even Abhinaya begins to love and if all goes well, a serious turning point related to the heroine’s health will completely ruin the love story. What is the health problem? and how does Abhi find his love? This forms the story.
Even after a long time, the Tarun hero looks fresh and shows a good maturity. He has always been an artist and carries the film back on his shoulders. The way he shows the variations of his three looks is pretty good and once again proves Tarun’s interpretive character.
The last ten minutes of the movie, in which the hero was desperately trying to find his love, was good. The locations shown in the film are very good and give the film a good advantage. The flashback episode that shows Tarun as a sculptor has some decent moments.
One of the biggest drawbacks of the movie is that it has absolutely no story. The main turn of the story is shown only in the last ten minutes and until then there are only boring conversations between the main pair.
There is absolutely no chemistry between the main couple and Oviya is a big disappointment like heroin. Its appearance, performance, and presence on the screen completely reduce the movie. There are three or four flashbacks in the story that is pretty awful and somehow disappointed.
Dialogues are another irritating factor of the film. Just for the sake of punch dialogues, the director has incorporated so many dumb dialogues into each scene that they push the audience to another level by completely suppressing the interest of the movie. There is no adequate interval and the emotions are diluted and nothing happens.
The production values of the film are in order because the film looks good with good camera work. The music is also good with some songs that sound pretty good. As I said, the dialogues are awful. The output is pathetic because at least 20 minutes could have been cut easily. The composition of the heroine was terrible and also her disguise.
Come to director Ramesh, he did a disappointing job with the movie. His story has nothing since the love story is empty. The way history unfolds does not have a romantic moment, which is a big drawback. There is also no comedy and serious emotions that completely bring the film to a standstill after ten minutes of filming.
In general, Idhi Na Love Story has absolutely no story. The simple things one would expect from a romantic basic drama are completely missing in this film. It’s good to see Tarun back on screen after a long time and it’s his performance that makes us sit in the movie for the first time. Apart from that, the romantic drama has absolutely nothing to offer and you can leave that Valentine’s Day alone.
